Boat storage in Mahón
Mahon's harbour is the largest natural port in the Mediterranean: close to five kilometres of sheltered water running from the entrance up to La Colàrsega. Wonderful for cruising, and a slow problem for any boat that sits on a pontoon from October to May.

Berths and moorings around here
Most boats around here spend the season on the pontoons along Moll de Llevant, at Cala Figuera, or up at the head of the harbour. They are good berths in summer, but through winter they take the gusts that funnel in from the harbour mouth and the constant wash from port traffic.
Why take the boat out of the water
If you are not on the island over the winter, a berth becomes an expensive way to let your boat get dirty. Ashore, fouling stops, the hull dries out, and spring starts with a clean boat instead of a fortnight of scrubbing.
- The hull dries out and fouling stops dead.
- Damp below decks falls away and upholstery stops going musty.
- You can work on the whole boat standing up.

Storing a boat from Mahón
I already pay for a berth in Mahon harbour. Is lay-up still worth it?
If you are not sailing between November and April, yes. The berth costs the same whether you use it or not, while the hull fouls and damp works away below. Ashore none of that happens, and the boat is ready far sooner in spring.
Do you store boats for owners in Mahón?
Yes. We work with owners across Maó, including Mahón, with indoor and outdoor space for boats up to 10 metres overall.
What do you need to quote?
Length overall and beam, indoor or outdoor, and the months you want the boat stored. That is enough for a real price.
